“Will you be my girlfriend?” Fowi asked me.
I was shocked. I didn’t think he would ask so quickly. We hadn’t even been talking for up to a month. I guess nobody really takes that long to progress to the next level these days.

The gates of Fowi’s house flung open almost immediately Lade honked. As Demilade drove in, I unzipper the zipped of my playsuit, enough to display just the right amount of cleavage.
After parking behind the Lexus, we alighted from the car. The gate man greeted us and went back to his duty post as we made our way to the entrance door. Sophie rang the bell and Fowi opened the door almost immediately. (more…)

“This dress, it makes you look like a…” She hesitated.
I looked down at my dress, wondering what the problem could be. I rose my head and looked at her in confusion.
“Like a what?” I looked at the back. “What’s wrong with it?”
She climbed one step up and looked around to see of anybody was close enough to hear her. I quickly stepped back because I didn’t want her to know I was eavesdropping.
More teaWas I supposed to clear the table, or leave it for the domestic staff?
If I cleared the table, I’m sure Tola would sell the story of me being a local woman below their class, for clearing the table like a house maid. If I didn’t, she’d say I wasn’t brought up properly in my house and I didn’t know how to take care of a home as a woman. (more…)

“You wanted to eat leftover food?”
Ahan! Leftover food ke? Didn’t we just stand up to see Fowi off? How was it leftover food? Was it not the rice that we left for three minutes we were going to continue eating? Omo na wa o. Me that had said I was going to take Fowi’s chicken and eat sef, now the woman is calling it leftover. (more…)

“My dear, Lagos is there jare, I am just tired of it, the traffic especially, you won’t believe I spend almost one hour getting to my showroom in Lekki from Ikoyi. It’s just a mess.” She lamented to him. More Tea
